Contact your MP or MSP for Cervical Cancer Prevention Week
This Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, we're launching our biggest ever campaign. We want to see cervical cancer become a thing of the past.
In the UK, we have the tools to rapidly eliminate cervical cancer. We have a wide-reaching HPV vaccination programme, a robust cervical screening programme, and highly effective colposcopy services.
What we need now, is government commitment and ambition.
We're hosting events in Westminster and Holyrood during Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, and we need your help to make sure your MPs and MSPs come along.
Will you write to your MPs and MSPs, and ask them to join us to talk about cervical cancer prevention?

Dear … MP,
Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust is the UK's leading cervical cancer charity. During Cervical Cancer Prevention Week 2023, which will run from January 23rd - 29th, they are calling for action to eliminate cervical cancer.
In 2020, the World Health Organisation published a set of targets for countries to meet in order to accelerate the global elimination of cervical cancer. In the UK, we have the tools to rapidly eliminate this cancer. We have a wide-reaching HPV vaccination programme, a robust cervical screening programme, and highly effective colposcopy services.
What we need now, is government commitment and national ambition.
On Wednesday 25th January, Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust will be hosting their Cervical Cancer Prevention Week drop in event in Room U, Portcullis House from 1pm-3pm. The event is being sponsored by Feryal Clark MP and Dr Philippa Whitford MP.
As my Member of Parliament, I would really appreciate it if you could attend this event to show your support for ending cervical cancer in the UK, and to find out more about what we can do to prevent more cases in our constituency.
9 women a day are diagnosed with cervical cancer, and 2 women a day lose their lives to this disease. It doesn’t have to be like this, and together we can save lives.
To find out more about Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, please visit the Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust website (www.jostrust.org.uk/ccpw). To RSVP, please email hannah@jostrust.org.uk.
Yours Sincerely,
