Due to the current coronavirus pandemic we can’t collect money through bucket collections. How your virtual collection will help

Setting up your virtual collection will help Jo’s be there for someone going through a cervical cancer diagnosis during this difficult time. 

• £16 could fund a call to our Helpline, giving a vital lifeline to a caller in a crisis. 
• £50 could fund our Ask the Expert service for a day providing expert information to those who need it most

How do virtual collections work? 

Virtual collections are a simple way for you to raise money for Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust without even having to leave your house.

With a virtual collection you can set up a JustGiving page in order to take collections online. Explain in the description why you are asking people to donate to your online collection. Make your target achievable, you can always raise it if you are doing better than expected. 

Promote your collection on social media!

As a virtual collection happens entirely online, it’s easy to promote it on social media. You should post about your virtual collection as soon as you set it up, and then post regular updates about how much you’ve raised so far and what your target is. Engage with your supporters if anyone comments with questions or messages of support, reply to as many as you can. It will make your supporters feel valued and could inspire anyone reading the post to donate as well. 

If you're close to your fundraising target then announce it on your social media. People will be eager to help you succeed and might donate to help you hit the target. Here are some ideas for posts you could use:
