Appointment of new director for Jo’s Trust

The trustees of Jo’s Trust today announced the appointment of Robert Music as the new director of the charity. Robert will join Jo’s Trust on September 15th, 2008.

Robert was, for six years, Chief Executive of Endometriosis UK. Previously he worked for Research into Ageing/Help the Aged and the Stroke Association. He is an experienced, professional and empathetic man who the Trustees believe will pick up the baton from Pamela and help guide the trust through the next stages of its development.

At the same time, the office of Jo's Trust is moving to London’s West End. A leading UK communications and financial PR firm, Brunswick has generously agreed to accommodate the trust at its offices in Lincoln’s Inn Fields.

Chairman of Jo’s Trust trustees, Alastair Gornall said, “Robert’s appointment and the office move to London will commence a new and exciting phase for Jo’s Trust, which will continue to achieve improved services for cervical cancer.

“I want to pay a very special tribute to Pamela Morton, who after almost nine years at the helm of Jo's Trust is sadly leaving us at the end of September, 2008. She is returning to her native Ireland to run the family business. Pamela has worked tirelessly to put Jo's Trust on the map and her achievements are truly incredible. I cannot thank her enough for her hard work, vision, commitment and support over these years and know that we all wish her, David and her family, all the best with their new life in Ireland.”
