Dear friends and supporters,
This is an unprecedented time for Jo’s, for the health sector and for the world, and we know that so many of you are feeling unsettled. We don’t have all the answers but we do want to let you know that we remain here for you. That is our priority.
We remain fully committed to providing the highest quality and trustworthy information and support. Furthermore, we are working closely with the NHS and other cancer charities to ensure that this is what we continue to provide.
Our Helpline continues to take calls as usual. If you need emotional support or want to talk - perhaps now even more than usual - then our staff and trained volunteers are here for you on 0808 802 8000.
Our Ask the Expert service remains open for those with medical questions. Please don’t forget to contact your own health team if you are concerned about your current care and treatment. We are hugely thankful to the NHS experts who are continuing to give their time to this service.
Our online Forum remains an invaluable source of mutual support, a place to share tips and speak with others in similar situations.
Along with many others we are facing a challenging economic situation and our income will be badly affected. Big fundraising events are being cancelled and it is getting harder to fundraise. Sadly we know things are going to get tougher and we don’t want it to affect the support that we provide.
If you can’t donate right now, please consider sharing this email with someone who can. We’re doing our best to make fundraising as easy as possible in these strange times, so do look over some of these virus-proof ideas.
We will come back from this difficult time stronger than ever, if we’re in it together.
Thank you for reading, for sticking with us and for your help. Please do take care of yourselves and each other.
With best wishes,
Chief Executive of Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust
