Join us at our support event ‘Let's Meet’ this September

Our main information and support day is being held on the 21st September in London. 

 

The following video from Hannah, our Support Services Officer, will tell you more about what to expect from the day.

Diagnosed with CC 1b2 with Lymph Node involvement in April 2013. Chemoradiation with Brachytherapy. May 2014 Reoccurrence to lungs restaged 4b. Taxol / Carbo / Avastin

29/10/2018 -  cervical cancer confirmed

26/11/2018 - Results of pet scan Stage 4A

20/12/2018 6 rounds of chemo mix every 3wks

20/02/19 - Scan results after NED of cancer in neck lymph node, considerable reduction to pelvis chemo working

04/04/19 - Chemo mix completed

08/05/2019 - over 50% tumor reduction and almost gone from pelvic lymph nodes

27/05/2019 - Chemo rads started 

04/07/2019 - cisplatin not tolerated managed 2/5. Brachy failed couldn’t be done. 8 more ext instead 

Waiting on scan 22nd October, not really know what happens next may need RH or more treatment

Feb 04:  (age 47y) Smear test normal

Stopped going for smears!

Summer 16: persistent yellow vaginal discharge

Dec 16: post menopausal vaginal bleed

Jan 17: Hysteroscopy under GA for ?fibroids - abnormal cervix observed -multiple biopsies taken, 1B1 squamous cell cc diagnosed - confirmed by MRI/PET scans

Feb 17: pelvic lymphadenectomy - nodes negative, Da Vinci radical hysterectomy- close anterior margin/LVSI/PNI, restaged to 2A

Apr/May 17: 6x chemo, 25x external radio, 2x brachy

Jul 19:  NED.  Various side effects notably hypotonic bladder since hysterectomy - ongoing ISC, unilateral lymphoedema lower abdo/groin/leg/ankle/foot
