Interlace clinical trial

I have just started the interlace clinical trial and have been picked for the extra 6 weeks chemo before standard chemorads. Is anyone else on this or done it in the past? Did you have really bad side effects etc. Thanks

Congratulations on starting the Interlace trial. I took part in the trial in Jan 2018 for 2B cervical cancer. I was very anxious before I started it, but really felt OK all the way through the 6 weeks. I wore a cooling cap to try and avoid loosing my hair. I did loose some, but it wasn't too bad. Following the 6 weeks of the Interlace tial I went on to have chemorads for a further 5 weeks and 4 sessions of brachy. There was 1 week near to the end of treatment that my bloods were too low so had to miss a week of chemo, but generally I felt OK, and would say to you that it is all very doable. I drove a 30 mile round trip myself for all of my treatments. Everyone is different though. This forum and following all the guidance was a massive plus point. All my checkups have been ned, so keeping fingers crossed.

Wishing you all the best with your treatment, and if you need to ask any questions please feel free to ask.
