I'm new to the forum. I've been reading your posts over the past few weeks which have helped in giving me strength while I've been going through my diagnosis.
Mine is Adenocarcinoma with one suspect lymph node following MRI and CT so I've got to have a PET scan this week to find out more. My treatment is up in the air at the moment - either hysterectomy or if there is lymph node involvement then it will be chemorads and brachytherapy.
I'm a 37 year old mother of 1 and it was picked up from my smear test as I've had no symptoms and it all came as quite a shock. I was told during colposcopy / Lletz that it was possible cancer so I was prepared for the biopsy results when they finally confirmed it.
Anyhow I just wanted to introduce myself as I've found it supportive to read people's posts and hope to support you all in the same way.
Smear, no symptoms of anything wrong 08/10
Colposcopy and Lletz due to abnormal changes and HPV. Biopsy taken. 05/11
Confirmed CC with Adenocarcinoma 18/11
MRI, CT and PET scan
10/12 Stage 3C1 due to lymph node involvement
28/12 Due to start treatment - chemorads and brachytherapy
All done. MRI for brachytherapy shows no cancer visible in cervix and lymph nodes responding, yey!
