Today I found out the results of my PET/CT scan that I have inoperable cancer spreading through my vagina and rectum. The doctor says it's stage III/IVA and I'll be referred to a radiologist for 7 weeks of that and also 5-6 treatments, once a week, with chemo. It seems from what I've read this is the standard treatment for this kind of staging.
I'm turning 46 this month and I had really hoped it'd be just IIB2 but...I'm still trying to accept that my odds of survival is now just 63% and that I have a long and hard road ahead of me.
