How long for diagnosis?

I have been having abnormal smear tests for almost 3 years now, I've just had 2nd lletz for cin2/3 on 30th April and last week received an appointment for the gyne-oncology out patients on the 6th aug at the local cancer hospital. All my previous appointments have been at the local gyne clinic but with the same consultant. I'm not sure what to think now, part of me is thinking if it was serious they would have told me by now not waited 3mths? I had biopsies taken of my vaginal wall at the same time as the lletz as he was concerned about an area, and said he would let me know if it needed treatment but that he couldn't do it at the clinic as it was too complicated, so at first I thought it was that but when I rang on Monday they said it wasn't a treatment appointment so now I don't know what to think.  Is it possible to still have a cancer diagnosis this long after biopsies etc?? Plus normally I have received a copy of my results in the post but I haven't this time. Sorry for rambling on, I have been trying to carry on and put it to the back of my mind.until the appointment but it's just really got to me today. Thanks for letting me rant xx

I feel for you as the worry and stress you feel as your mind yo-yo’s from one thing to another is the worst. Its an awful place to be. I try and keep busy as much as I can and distract myself. You will only really know when you get there, but this forum is great for support from people who know The is it/ isn’t it feeling very well. I hope it’s all good news for you on the 6th xx

Hey, sorry only seeing this now, had been avoiding here a bit as it was driving me mad with what ifs but I ended up having my appointment changed to 10th Sept, so 2 days ago. I'm now on the waiting list for a total hysterectomy as it's been going on now 3 years with improvement, was told in Tuesday that it could be 6mths to a year wait which I was fine with as it gave me time to get things organised etc but today I have received my pre op assessment appointment for the 23rd Sept just over a weeks time so now I'm panicking that it's gonna be alot sooner than I thought lol. Hope all went well with your appointment x
