RELATED PAIN *LEG, GROIN*

Hello,

Recebtly diagnosed with Stage 1B, Grade 3 SCC.

I have been having very strong 'pinching' feeling on the same side of the diagnosis in the groin area, along with numbness being carried down the leg. Can anyone relate to this? I am so worried about spread. Would I be having these symptoms? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

So sorry to hear about your diagnoses. Leg pain is a really common symptom and doesn't mean the tumor has spread.  I hope this eases your mind just a bit.

Have you been provided a treatment plan yet?

Hello! Yes, I have an appointment booked next week with the surgeon to find out the exact plan but it is a proposed hysterectomy right now- only leaving ovaries. No LVSI, no clear margins and the cells are 6mm deep by 10mm long. I hope that all makes sense. All of this language is so new to me and I never thought I would have to educate myself on this topic- but knowledge is power.

If no spread to lymph nodes, then I will be all clear to have close follow ups and simply focus on recovering from surgery. I hope and pray this is the case.

Yes unfortunately it does make sense.  If your lymph nodes are not clear then you would still be highly curable. I will keep my fingers crossed that all will be removed with your hysterectomy.

If not,  chemo and radiation is doable. You can do this!!
