Waiting for Diagnosis.. MRI today.

Hi everyone.
I went to my doctor 4 weeks ago now with heavy bleeding for around 4 weeks.  She checked me over and said she seen an unusual cervix.  I was referred under the 2 week pathway to the hospital.

gynaecologist confirmed she could see a 2cm growth and was unsure of what it was.

today 2 weeks Later I have had an MRI scan and booked for hysterocopy 3rd August.

does this mean they assume I have cervical cancer if I have been referred straight for MRI? How long does it usually take to get results? It feels like no one is telling me anything

Hi there, hopefully they have given you a telephone contact for one of the nurses?  I was always impatient for scan results so rang them, invariably an ansaphone but they always rang me back towards the end of the day.  I felt so much in the dark that I completed a request for medical records access, it was sent to me on a cd.   I've now been able to print off all my scans, hysteroscopy, hysterectomy pathology - it was like piecing a jigsaw together and I felt much more in control,

wish you well with it all

Hi Essex girl,

I'm also an Essex girl 8 weeks out of treatment...

They booked me in for an MRI just in case the biosciences did come back cc. I think it's routine.

06 Jan 20 massive bleed. 7 feb 20 smear came back highly differentiated severe dyskolious. 14 Feb biopsies taken. 21st Feb cc cells found. 22 Feb 20 told poorly differentiated squamous cell. 28 Feb staged at 2a. Tumour is 2.4mm/9mm 6 March restaged at 3c due to 3 lymph node involvement - x1 2cm. 12 Mar 20 met oncologist - told me coronavirus will probably kill me before cc does. 18 March 20 pre scan booked.
