Bleeding after sex

Hello girls!

First of all, sorry for my english, I am from Spain.

I am 30 yr old woman. I started over a year ago bleeding after sex. Initially I though it was because rude intercourse. It was only a bit of brownish blood on the paper after having sex, then it was gone. Sometimes a little bit pinky.

I went to the doctor and did a smear test and colposcopy. It showed only HPV 39+, with no abnormal changes. I started to get paranoid and everytime I had sex I was really scared of founding some blood, so I started to put a tampon after intercourse to see if there was blood. Sometimes the tampon was clear, but other times it is a little bit (very very little) of brownish blood. It happens randomly (maybe 2-3 times a month). My doctor repeated my smear and it was clear again. My eco is normal too. I am very very worried.

My bf tries to calm me, but I don't know why am I still bleeding just a little after sex. He says that if every woman wears a tampon just after sex, sometimes she would find some bleed. Did you girls tried to do that? Am I getting paranoid?

I am really afraid of having sex... please help!

Bienvenida al Foro Aio88.

Escribes ingles muy bien. Estoy aprendiendo tu idioma, pero voy a escribir en ingles ahora.

If your smears are clear and you have had 2 clear results then i am sure you are fine.
There are many things that can cause bleeding. Push your Doctor to investigate other possible reasons. It could be hormonal and not at all cancer related.

I understand it is scary when you have symptoms with no answers.

The good thing is you were checked and cleared twice. If you have cervical cancer then the test would have indicated something was wrong.

Please try not to panic. Estoy segura que todo saldra bien.
Muchos abrazos

March 2019 - low grade dyskaryosis.

April 2019 - colposcopy and punch biopsy.

May 2019- Results show HPV changes only. No CIN - follow up smear in 3 years.

Muchas gracias por tu respuesta :)

I just would like to know if it is normal to have a little blood that you can only notice if you wear a tampon (if I don’t do that, I can’t notice).

Do you use contraception? sometimes certain pills etc can cause light bleeding inbetween periods.

This is why your Doctor should investigate to make sure.
Check for STD's and swab for any other infections. There are many reasons and only a doctor can advise.

Buena suerte (abrazos)
