Glandular Neoplaysia

Hope you're all well.
move had my smear results back and I've tested HPV high risk positive and the test mentions Glandular Neoplaysia. I'm out of my mind with worry.

Has anyone had anything similar. I have an appointment on Wednesday for a diagnostic test.

There are 2 types of cells in your cervix, cells like your skin (squamous cells) and cells like those on your tongue (glandular cells). The glandular cells are higher up in your cervix. Whereas squamous cell abnormalities are CIN, glandular cell abnormalities are CGIN.

At your colposcopy it is likely with your permission they will do a lletz or leep proceedure after examining your cervix to remove any abnormal cells.
Good luck xx

I had high grade CGIN which was excised with lletz 4 weeks ago. I will be having another colposcopy in Dec/Jan to see if it's all been removed/not returned. In the meantime the multi disciplinary team will discuss the plan of action in this month's meeting and will get back to me. That's what I was told in my results letter. Thinking of you x
