Around December I had Mirena implanted and had severe pain and complications with it. Alot of pain and discomfort came with it, to the point where the removal was extremely painful and I had to take pain meds for a few days to recoup from it.
This morning was my 2nd period since the removal and I noticed while doing a routine check, that I have a small bump on my cervix. It's as small as a pin head, round, and painless. I've never noticed it before today.
During the entire time I was going through my issues with mirena (Oct 2018 to Dec 2018) I had labs, 2 abdominal and pelvic/cervical ultrasounds, countless pelvic exams, etc. Nothing looked or came back abnormal.
Now I am just very stressed out about this. I know that abnormal tests and lesions happen all the time, but it's that fear of not knowing.
Is this a possible cyst from the trauma of my Mirena? Has anyone else experienced this? If so what were your results and can you give me any advice?
I've made an appointment for about a week and a half out, but it still is terrifying.... thanks everyone ♡♡
Side note: I had non-cancerous anal warts (low risk hpv) back in 2012 for a total of 3 weeks. It was treated, never came back, and I've had normal paps and no sexual partners have reported anything abnormal or positive tests. My doctor told me most low risk infections are out of your system within 2-3 years.
