CIN 3 - HPV Negative

Hello All..

I'm new to the site. I was wondering if anyone here had experience with having abnormal PAPS/Colposcopy while testing negative for all high risk HPV strains..? My last colposcopy and PAP results (sorry for bold text - I copied and pasted) read as follows:

Colposcopy:

HIGH GRADE SQUAMOUS INTRAEPITHELIAL LESION (MODERATE TO SEVERE

DYSPLASIA/CIN 2-3) INVOLVING ENDOCERVICAL GLANDS
- TRANSFORMATION ZONE MUCOSA PRESENT

PAP:

FINAL INTERPRETATION:
ATYPICAL SQUAMOUS CELLS, A HIGH GRADE SQUAMOUS INTRAEPITHELIAL LESION
CANNOT BE EXCLUDED.

HPV RESULTS:
NEGATIVE for HPV 16
NEGATIVE for HPV 18
NEGATIVE for HPV 45
NEGATIVE for other high risk HPV types

I do not have experience with this personally, but although HPV causes most cervical changes and cancers, it does not cause them all. Changes can also more rarely occur in the glands of the cervix, which is what sounds like is going on with you. Sorry I don't have more info, but I wanted to send you some support anyway.
