Hi everyone,
I attended colposcopy on 15th December following severe bleeding after ivf treatment.
The consultant tried to cauterise the cervix but it didn't really work. The doctor gave me a local anesthetic and took biopsies.
At first she said it would take up to 6 weeks for results then after she'd had a look at my cervix she told me she would try and rush the results with the lab. This just alarmed me!
Still no results however today I received a letter from the hospital saying the consultant wanted to see me again on 15th February but not the reason why. I called the hospital but was told I should have received my results before this appointment letter and that I just need to wait for that, she wouldn't tell me my results over the phone. I'm not freaking out that it's bad news, my anxiety is through the roof!
Has this happened to anyone else?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks xx
Could you try contacting your GP to see if they have had a copy of your results?
Really sorry you're having to wait such a long time. Xx
