Hi guys.

a few years ago I had a hysterectomy due to severe cells..I then got sepsis from the operation.
Anyways, I got better, been fine for a couple years. I've been feeling poorly and so had my bloods done and the doctors called me to go and speak with him in the morning, and I've also been sent a letter to go for a scan next week.... my symptoms have been weight loss, fatigue, bloating, persistent toilet issues, generally run down etc and tummy pain.
my word is upside down! I'm a single full time working mother of two, I've just gotten myself a decent boyfriend after having a horrific life, I have PTSD, cyclothymia, depression and MASSIVE anxiety.
I need the hard blunt truth, it's just the way I work, the doctors only call you in for bad news, don't they? Especially with the corona virus going on.
please someone reply.

Kristy, so sorry you're going through this, I know these things can be extremely stressful. Try not to panic, maybe u might just need a vitamin supplement or something, since he can only look at your blood work right now until u finish your scan. The good news is you got a hysterectomy before it was even any type of cancer, so the threat of cervical cancer has been taken away. I hope everything turns out ok for you and they figure it out so u can start feeling better.

Hi Kirsty

It's good that you haven't ignored your symptoms (which is what I did for several months with my cc symptoms) and are being investigated.  Doctors don't only call us in for bad news; often  it's because thay need to get more tests done so they can rule out conditions and give an accurate diagnosis - which might end up being something fairly trivial.  I'm not an expert and I'm a bit reticent if I should include the following but on the basis it's better to be aware I just wanted to mention that I notice your symptoms could suggest ovarian cancer - see following link:

https://www.nhs.uk/be-clear-on-cancer/symptoms/ovarian-cancer

As the link says, it's probably not but you might just want to run the subject past your doctor to ensure it's been covered.  It's just that I happen to know of cases of ovarian cancer that have been missed.

If you wanted support about the above The Eve Appeal can help:  https://eveappeal.org.uk/
