Please, Can anyone help? Experiance/Advice

  Hi,

Some history of me & then some advice needed please ?
2018 smear test HPV+ CIN1 referred to colposcopy & had biopsey taken. Same result as smear test - no further treatment just follow up in a year.
2019 smear test HPV+ CIN1 referred to colposcopy & had biopsey taken. Same result as smear test - no further treatment just follow up in a year.
2020 smear test HPV+ CIN3 referred to colposcopy for LLETZ/LEEP procedure.
So my question.
I had this appointment 2 weeks ago. Only once they started the colposcopy, they refused to do the procedure. She said the area of effected cells is too large. She took some biopseys & said I will have to wait until these come back for further appoinment/treatment with her senior. She tilted my cervix back an forth to show me it has grown there, aswell as down the side & my whole cervix was covered. It was fully white on the acid test and fully yellow/orange on the schiller test.
Anyone been through similar willing to share the outcome? Biopsey reaults can take up to 6 weeks & while I know it's likely not cancer, 6 weeks is a long time to wait. I have been waiting 2 weeks & I'm getting more worried. My back & stomach pain is getting worse & I am just so tired. I sleep 10-12 hours each night but I am so tired still. I am physically active during the day as I have 2 young sons. I walk at least an hour a day purely because I enjoy a long walk. I am trying to stay busy but it's difficult not to worry.

I have emailed an expert but no reply & I really would like some advice/experiance. Thank you.

I'm so sorry your going through all this. I myself are waiting for my lletz procedure. It's still a long wait until 25th August! Experts usually take 2days to reply I think. I messaged one and said they had replied but can't seem to find where it is?

I really hope you get some answers really soon and thinking about you xx

I think between my lletz and finding out my own diagnosis was 4 or 5 weeks. I was originally told that a follow up appointment would be in 3 months - my memory is a little hazy on the exact details. So if they don't call you early that may well be a good thing. Fingers crossed that it all comes back ok.

October 2019 - smear test

November 2019 - results back; hpv with severe dyskaryosis, colposcopy organised.

November 2019 - colposcopy biopsy taken - confirmed abnormal cells

December 2019 - lletz performed

Jan 2020 - called in: confirmed I have cancer

Tests run through Jan and Feb. During this time went through fertility treatment; 5 eggs frozen.

End Feb - confirmed stage 2b CC (updated info, staging changed to stage 3 invlving lymph nodes)

Treatment starts March - 28 external radio/5 chemo/4 brachy

Only sat 3 chemo after developing tinnitus

April 25th - finished brachytherapy

July 2020 - MRI

Awaiting results

Thank use so much for replying.

I got my reply from the expert through email.

They said just because its a large area doesn't mean cancer.

I am trying to put it to the back of my mind & stay busy until I get my results since worrying wont change anything anyway.

Hope your both well and doing ok.
