Preggo 3yrs in row, recent abnormal pap

hello,

I'm a little confused by my results.

I've had paps frequently for the last 3yrs. And 3months ago had a pap after I had my son that came back abnormal.

Positive HPV-positive for the cancer causing types.

HISL, not sure if that is cin2 or 3?

How can I go from nothing to high risk??

I'm currently 17wks pregnant. If I didn't get pregnant I never would have gone for another pap--this one which diagnosed positive. I'm terrible at going to the Dr. unless I'm forced to.

The nurse pretty much told me I will get cc in the next 5yrs....thought that was a heavy diagnosis to say.

Have a colposcopy coming up soon...nervous!

Thoughts, opinions please!

It seems like sometimes changes can happen very quickly. I went from a totaly clear pap to CIN III in one year. Then I had a lietz with clear margins. My first follow up pap was abnormal and colposcopy showed CIN I. Same withe second pap/colpo. Then sic months later I had gone from CIN I to invasivw cervical cancer. i am definitey not trying to scare you because my doctors were shocked by the progression in me, but it definitely can happen with the high risk HPV strands. Ignore that nirse though. She is not a prophet and has no idea what tour body will do. They will monitor you closely now and will stay on top of any treatments you may need.

2/20 Pap reveals CIN III

3/17/20 Lietz under GA

3/20/20 Cervical Cancer, no clear margins- doctor calls my situation rare and shocking as my cone had clear margins

I think your nurse was well intentioned, in a perverse sort of way, when she said about you getting cc in the next 5 years.  I think she is concerned that you might not continue to get cervical screening so she is trying to frighten you into going.  So whilst it is far from certain that you will get cc I would implore you keep up with your checks.  Even if you get normal cervical test results in future don't get complacent; it's not worth the risk for the sake of a piddly little test (which it is in relative terms) that takes a couple of minutes - see my back story.  If I could have a wish come true I would turn back the clock and get my smear tests on time.
