My smear in January came back as high risk HPV and high grade changes. My first smear three years ago was completely normal. I had my colposcopy last week and three biopsies were taken. At the colposcopy i was only told that there were definitely abnormalities but i would have to wait for the biopsy results. I was also told that i would need a procedure and due to me being prone to fainting/hospital phobia, it would need to be under general anaesthetic.
I am waiting for my results, but since then have seen a letter to my GP on my medical records which refers to my smear test results with the wording - Glandular neoplasia of endocervial type and scanty high grade squamous changes. Now i feel really worried as looking it up it appears to be CGIN and perhaps CIN as well. I'm only 28 and would like to have kids. It would be great if anyone has had a similiar experience - am finding it very hard to manage my anxiety around this.
