Worried about taking HRT

Hi. I'm 44 had a RH 20 months ago retaining overies for 1b1 cervical cancer. I've hit menopause.  Achy limbs, sleepless nights, mood swings, hot flashes and night sweats. My consultant at Christie said I could have estrogen only HRT but my mum is trying to put me off due to the risk of breast cancer. I'm an adopted child so no family history.  I'd love some advise. I'm taking sleeping pills, sertraline and cbd oil to try and help the symptoms.  Hugs. Tess. X

Hi,

I finished four months ago and had symptoms of menopause. I started hrt 3.5 months ago and I was told by the oncologist that it was fine as it wasn't a hormonal cancer and also the chances of breast cancer was as low as women who hasn't had cancer, who drink a glass of wine a week. Pretty low. Sometimes you have to do what you feel is right as it's happening to your body, not your friends or your mums. How about a patch? They have an even lesser risk.

Take care,

Keeley
