B***** S*** F*** H***

Im just sounding of ladies.

Had mega pain monday night like all my nerves had remembered my surgery earlier this year.

went to my gp(absolute angel) tuesday and she decided to do some blood tests

Then last night a really nasty rash appeared on my abdomen around my stomas and to my hip.

Went to the doctors this morning.

Ive got shingles.

I was doing so well after everything earlier this year and this has knocked me for six. I know its nothing compared to the cancer but its still a pain.

Anyway finished my winge, at least it was an excuse not to cook and I had a chinese take away for dinner.

Good Bye all

Hi Julia,

You sound off as much as you want! Shingles really is soooo unfair after all you've been through already - I really feel for you! Hopefully they'll get it under control very fast and things will get back to (what passes for) normal for you.

Lots of love, Marion.
PS I love chinese takeaways too!! :D

Rachel

Oh Julia...that seems so unfair!!

I have heard that shingles is painful.....I really hope that it doesn't last long and that you get better from it very soon.

Sending lots of hugs to you.

Take good care of yourself.

Love Rachel xx

p.s. don't blame you for wanting to sound off about this.....I know I would if I was you! Rxx

Hi Julia,

What a complete pain (literally!) Not what you need at all. Lets hope that it clears up quick as I understand it can be really sore. Make sure that you are taking extra special care of yourself, pamper yourself a bit if you can, you certainly deserve it. Chinease take out PRN!

Hope your feeling better very soon

Love Sam W xx

Hi Julia,

I really am so sorry to hear that you have got shingles, my eldest son had it when he was a boy (very rare in Children)... I remember it was very painful for him..

But.... It was great to find someone else having the same kind of s..t day as me....

1... it's my nephews funeral today, he died at work when a dumper truck fell on top of him. (he's 32)

2... I have come back from holiday with the Mother of all coughs.

3... Tried to go Christmas shopping yesterday, bring some normality into my life, I shut the car door on my thumb... I now look like E.T

4... I was supposed to have the roof done on the house this week, to be told they can't do it without scaffolding... and guess what??? The quote they gave me didn't cover the scaffolding...

So to add to your list...

juliao

thank you all

needed to kick the P***t of the board a bit so must be getting better a bit. Still off my food. sleeping most of the time.
Surgery has left me with a weak immune system so guess something tlike this was on the cards.

The first anti-viral drug didn't suit so that was changed after two days. Yesterday the small open wound on my perineum decided to give up the battle against infection so am also now on antibiotics too. as well as the painkillers.

Well I guess there has been a lesson in all of this. Slow down Julia!!!!!!
Basically ever since I was given the all clear to drive again Ive been on a mission to do everything yesterday at 90 miles an hour.

since I posted last I have speny most of the time asleep, that is when I wasnt trying to stick sellotape to sand (stoma bags and rashes dont get on).

Hopefully Ive hit bottom and am now back on the ladder and will try my best to slow down and do less. But my house is a mess and I do not qualify for Disability Living Allowance!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently I can clean my own teath.

Have a good evening all

Good Bye all
