Welcome to LGBTQ forum

Hi all

The National LGB&T Partnership this week (13-17 March 2017) has launched the first National Lesbian and Bisexual Women’s Health Week. In support of this week and in recognition of the needs of LGBTQ women, we have opened this new section of our forum.

This section has been set up to provide a safe and supportive environment where members of the LGBTQ community can talk openly about any concerns or issues they may have relating to cervical screening, screening results, and cervical cancer.

If you have any queries regarding the forum or any other part of our work, please contact me at [email protected].

Best wishes

Fran

Hi, is this forum open to men and women? Is it lesbian/ bisexual women only? I am just asking what the perameters are as it says in your introductory comment that you are launching this section in a lesbian and bisexual women's health week.

I have such mixed feelings as really I would like there to be no other lesbians who ever have cc, but if there are any who use Jo's trust I hope this will be a safe, lesbian/ bi area. Juley

What does it matter losing your legs, for people will always be kind

Hi Juley,

Thank you for your comment. This section of the forum has primarily been set up to provide a supportive space for LGBTQ women to connect with each other and discuss any concerns they have relating to cervical screening, cervical abnormalities and cervical cancer. However the forum as a whole is a really supportive  environment so if anyone outside of the LGBTQ community felt that they could provide support and wanted to post in this section we would always encourage this.

We felt that the National Lesbian and Bisexual Women’s Health Week was a good time to launch this section of the forum.

We hope that this will be a useful and supportive resource for people to use.

Best wishes
