Is there a chance that a tumor can be benign?

Hi Everyone,

It was great to find a support here!

I would like to ask if anyone had an experience that they got an MRI scan and found a tumor and found out it's non-cancerous.

My biopsy will come out this week but I'm getting scared of the final result.

I have been suggested or actually advised that I got cervical cancer based from my MRI scan where they found a 3cm tumor. Though I havent received my biopsy results, I have been talked through in cervical cancer point of view and more cancer related tests.

I know it's silly but I'm still praying it's a benign tumor. Is there anyone who had the same experience as mine with 3cm tumor and found out its benign?

Thank you so much!

Gem

I'm 36 years old and had an abnormal cells called severe dyskariosis. My bleeding out of period started in October 2018 but only went to A&E last 28th Dec 2018 when my bleeding didn't stop for days. Due to my heavy bleeding, I was sent for MRI scan and found a 3cm tumor which they said is cervical cancer. However, my biopsy will come out on 1st of March yet so I'm still praying it's a benign tumor. I had the following tests so far from January to February 2019: 16 Jan 2019: Pap Smear 24 Jan 2019: Swab Test 5 Feb 2019: MRI Scan 6 Feb 2019: CT Scan 12 Feb 2019: Biopsy 20 Feb 2019: PET Scan
