Captain Tom 100

Covid-19 has had a big effect on charities, with the cancellation of events and the loss of income. Captain Tom stepped up, completed his now famous walk and inspired millions of people. 

Friday 30th April 2021 would have been Captain Sir Tom Moore’s 101st birthday and the one-year anniversary of him completing famous 100 laps of his garden. To mark this date, honour him and continue his legacy with his families’ support, we are asking people of all ages to take part in the Captain Tom 100. 

Captain Tom 100 – Do it your way 

You can dream up and complete a fundraising activity of your choice based on the number 100, between Friday 30th April to Monday 3rd May. So, will you be a hero like Captain Tom and raise money on behalf of Jo’s? 

Here’s a few ideas to spark some inspiration:

• Walk 100 laps of your own garden as an ode to Captain Tom
• Cycle 100km 
• Learn 100 dance moves
• Sing for 100 minutes 
• Bake 100 biscuits
• Go up and down your stairs 100 times
• 100 minute silence
• Do 100 star jumps 

Captain Tom inspired the not just the nation but the world last year when he completed his 100 laps of his garden. He inspired us at Jo’s in our vision that one day we will see a future free from cervical cancer.
