Fundraising doesn’t just happen at organised events – you can get active and take on challenges in your daily life and raise money to support Jo’s.
We rely on donations to keep our support services open, and many of our fundraising events have been cancelled or postponed. By getting involved and raising funds, you can help us to be there for people during this uncertain time.
We’ve put together some easy, working-from-home-friendly ways to turn your daily exercise routine into a way to support Jo’s!
Make your steps matter! Steps for Jo's is our sponsored walk, jog or run. You choose the distance and place at a time that suits you! In your garden, the street where you live or your local park, wherever you take your steps, you’ll be helping us to support more people affected by cervical cancer and cell changes.
Take on the challenge however you want. Whether it’s a 5k walk with your friends and family or running a marathon bit by bit over a month, your steps will make a difference.
If you’re taking up running, or are making sure you get around the block in your lunch break, you can take on a marathon (or even half) just by covering a mile a day!
Set up a fundraising page (we can help you with this) and ask your friends and family to support your efforts.
Set yourself a challenge on the flights of stairs in your house or your building! For example, Ben Nevis is approximately 587 flights of stairs, Mount Everest is around 3,871… whether you take it on over a day, a week or a month, this challenge is as tall or small as you like.
Cycling can be a great way to get some fresh air and your feet pedalling in aid of Jo’s. If you’re not able to go outside and are lucky enough to have an exercise bike this is a great alternative!
Set yourself a distance to complete in a month - this could be the equivalent of an iconic route (think London to Paris!) or a challenge you had already signed up to.
Our wonderful Fundraising team will support you every step of the way with your challenges. Email [email protected] to get started. They will send you a Fundraising Guide so that you can hit the ground running (or walking!)
