If you have experienced trauma or mental illness and find cervical screening (smear tests) difficult, our free booklet may help. We created it with mental health service users and healthcare professionals to offer some extra support with the test, including tips for during the appointment and a checklist of things that may make the test hard for you to share with your nurse.
This booklet was developed by researchers at the University of West London and Surrey University, with support from Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust.
This booklet is for download only. If you would like to find out more about this project, please get in touch with Professor Elizabeth Barley at the University of Surrey ([email protected]) or Frederique Lamontagne-Godwin ([email protected]).
