The London cervical cancer support group meets about once a month in central London.
The meeting in January will feature a taster session in meditation.
The group members are of varying ages and stages of a cervical cancer diagnosis. The group is run by Deepa who has been personally affected by cervical cancer. Find out more about Deepa and how to get in touch below.
Initially I attended the London support group as someone seeking support following my own diagnosis in 2009.
The group gave me great strength, support and friendship during difficult times. I couldn't have done without it. When an opening for a group leader arose I couldn't think of anything better to be a part of. Sometimes you see the same faces but there are often new members who dip and out as and when they need support. Many have formed great friendships and meet outside of the group as well. It's a confidential and positive place to discuss whatever is on your chest.
