Our 20th anniversary
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust!
We've come a long way in 20 years. We've answered your questions and been there when you needed us most. With your help we've taken on challenges, brought people together and raised the profile of cervical cancer.
Our history
Jo's was set up by James Maxwell in memory of his wife Jo. Jo Maxwell sadly died from cervical cancer in 1999, leaving behind her husband, James and their three young children.
On launching the charity in June 1999 he said, "Jo's hope was that everyone one day would have access to reliable information as well as receive support at every stage of pre-cancer and cancer of the cervix, including 'follow up' having survived the disease."

We are able to keep our Helpline, Forum and Ask the Expert services free thanks to being funded from generous donations, grants and gifts in wills. With your support we’ll keep going for as long as it takes to make cervical cancer a disease of the past.
