As part of Cervical Cancer Prevention Week 2011 (23rd – 29th January 2011), Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust ran a campaign in 220 cinemas across the UK. The campaign called ‘Are you an 80’s Girl?’ had the potential to reach millions of women about the importance of cervical screening and HPV vaccination.
Have you attended your cervical screening appointment or had your HPV vaccination?
If you have, congratulations, you’re part of the 80% of women in the UK who are helping reduce their risk of getting cervical cancer. Keep up the good work and pass on the message to all your friends and family.
If you’ve missed your appointment or vaccination slot, it’s not too late to join the club! Contact your GP or your Primary Care Trust and reduce your risk.
