Dalai Lama Trek
Last modified: 24 May 2025, 14:15
Lace up your boots and join Britain V Cancer trekking through the Indian Himalayas
Stunning snow-capped peaks await and after exploring Delhi and Dharamsala, spiritual home of the Dalai Lama, you’ll venture up through the spectacular mountain range to the Laka Got glacier.
Starting with a free day to discover the delights of Delhi, including the 17th Century Red Fort, you will then take an exciting sleeper train to Pathankot and you’ll lace up your hiking boots in Dharamsala.
The trek will take you through magical pine and rhododendron forests, across suspension bridges and over fresh-water steams. You’ll have a chance to taste freshly brewed Indian Chai Masala, encounter friendly Gaddi Tribe villages and breathe in the tranquillity of life in the mountains.
As if that’s not enough to get excited about, the trek will finish with a sleeper train to the Taj Mahal in Agra.
Places are limited and are likely to fill up fast, so we recommend you don’t dilly Dalai – register early to avoid disappointment.
When you fundraise for us you’ll receive:
