Living with or beyond a cervical cancer diagnosis can be very difficult for you and those closest to you. During these difficult times, we understand that you may want or need someone to talk you about how you are feeling. The Cervical Cancer Hospital Support Service is here to help.
What is the Hospital Support Service?
Our Hospital Support Service is a new face-to-face support service for people living with or beyond a cervical cancer diagnosis.
What Does the Service Offer?
The service offers a chance to meet with our trained, friendly Hospital Support Service Co-ordinator in a safe and relaxed environment to discuss your personal situation; whether that be dealing with your own diagnosis or a family member’s. We’ll be providing personalised support, information and sign posting to complement the supportive efforts of the health care teams.
Who is the service for?
The service is currently only available to those who are being or have been treated at Royal Marsden partner NHS Trusts*, their partners and their adult family members. *Royal Marsden Partner NHS Trusts include:
- Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust
- Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
- Croydon Health Services NHS Trust
- Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust
- Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
- St. George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
How to access the service
We accept self-referrals (which you can submit via this form on our website) as well as referrals from the health care professionals at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
Appointments will take place at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in Chelsea or Sutton. We can arrange an appointment at either of these locations, whichever is most convenient for you.
Service hours and locations
Our Hospital Support Service Co-ordinator will be at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust 3 days a week between Monday and Thursday. Please be aware that over the festive period so we will be offering a reduced service on our Hospital Support Service.
